While preparing for the Laneways Homeways exhibition, Rahila began missing her home, streets and bazaars. She thought that since her heart is in between the Laneways of Melbourne and Karachi, why not pour both onto her canvas? “I doubt if I would ever see a Pakistani Truck in Hoiser Lane or Melbourne CBD turning into the bustling street market of Karachi.“ Artwork painted on the door of the old side drawer.
